Jarrett Construction Company, Inc. is a General Contractor providing construction and design-build services, primarily to various Federal Government contracting agencies. As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractor, Jarrett has an excellent past performance record completing projects for various government and private agencies.
Jarrett was established in 1988, and under the new leadership of Dave Bergum, with his extensive construction experience and military service, we anticipate continued growth in the coming years. Currently, our bonding capacity is over $100 million, and we have the ability to perform work from coast-to-coast, as well as in Puerto Rico.

Jarrett has a capable project management team including estimators, quality control, safety personnel, craftsmen, and laborers. Although a small business contractor, maintaining a full staff allows us to effectively provide service simultaneously to multiple agencies throughout the country.
Our team manages a variety of new construction, renovation, addition, repair, and design-build projects. We are experienced in performing multiple contracts, as well as simultaneous task orders under IDIQ, MATOC, and other similar delivery methods.

Dave Bergum, President
Retiring as a Major after a 20 year career in the US Army, which included engineering and management work, Dave began a career in the Federal construction industry in 1995. In addition to 35 years of project management and construction experience, Dave has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Lake Superior State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Management from Webster University.
Mike McGinty, Vice President
With over 40 years of construction experience, Mike has worked as a Carpenter, Superintendent, Project Manager, Estimator, and Business Developer. He has managed numerous contracts with the Corps, Federal agencies, and other private entities. Mike has extensive design-build project experience, and a complete understanding of the construction process from initial design to final project completion.
Joel Griswold, Corporate Secretary
Joel uses his 35 years of construction knowledge to manage and oversee a variety of projects including design-build and Federal IDIQ contracts. He has successfully bid and overseen a variety of projects including new construction, renovation, residential, and commercial construction. A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Construction, Joel also has the educational background to complement his years of construction experience.
Accident prevention and safety is the top priority of Jarrett Construction Company. Our safety program includes:
• on-going employee training on all federal, state, and local safety regulations
• integration of safety by management and employees into the workplace
• a safety incentive program
• maintaining active certifications including OSHA training, First Aid/CRP/AED, and USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors
Throughout our history, Jarrett has received numerous Safety Awards for Lost Time Accident Free Years, as well as single project safety awards. The USACE Savannah District and South Atlantic Division has also presented Jarrett with a Sustained Superior Safety Performance Certificate of Achievement for their commitment to quality construction while upholding the highest standard of safety performance.
