FEATURE PROJECT
VAMC Window Replacement, Phase VI, Miami, FL
This project involved the removal of existing hurricane shutters and windows, and the preparation and installation of new impact rated windows on the 14-story Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Miami, FL.
To reduce impact to patient, visitors, and staff, our team installed the new windows in front of the existing exterior windows, so no openings were ever compromised. Once the new windows were installed, the existing windows were removed from the interior. Once existing windows were removed, our team repaired interior finishes and installed new trim around window openings. ICRA and life safety measures included protective plastic, negative air machines, air scrubbers, containment door systems, patient and staff security measures, construction area protective barriers from active areas, and sticky mats.

Renovation
FEATURE PROJECT
Marine Reserve Center, Lathop, CA
This 6,000 square foot renovation project included the design, demolition, ACM abatement, replacement, and modernization of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and communications systems of Building 75 - Main Reserve Center, Building 76 - Vehicle Maintenance Facility, and a classroom/carpentry shop.
After award and during the field investigation process, it was determined that the existing electrical transformer was inadequate to support the new building, even though the design documents stated existing would be sufficient. After bringing this to the Contracting Officer’s (CO's) attention, our team worked with the CO, engineers and local authority to provide information on the existing transformer, resize the new transformer, and coordinate the removal and replacement of existing. By the completion of the job we received an Outstanding CCASS rating.

New Construction
FEATURE PROJECT
Readiness Module and Covered Hardstand, Fort Benning, GA
This project involved the design and construction of one Readiness Module (10,125 square feet), one Covered Hardstand with concrete floors (7,000 square feet), and the associated sitework. The project included connecting to existing EMCS, anti-terrorism measures, and building information systems. Supporting facilities included site preparation; water, sewer, and natural gas services; fire protection and alarm system; access drives and parking; curb, gutter, and sidewalks; dumpster enclosures; erosion control and landscaping; fencing and signage.
Work was performed in a newly developed area of the Fort Benning campus, so close coordination between our project team and several other contractors was vital to ensure project and material delivery timeliness. Construction was completed on time, on budget, and well before the end user moved into the facility. The LEED certifiable project received an Above Average CCASS rating at the end of construction.

FEATURE PROJECT
Taxiway "D", Dobbins ARB, GA
This project included removing and replacing portions of the concrete pavement, replacing the lighting system, and installing a subdrainage system on Taxiway "D" at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, GA.
Being an active taxiway, it was vital to maintain close coordination with air traffic control to avoid conflicts with ongoing flight and hangar operations. By taking a proactive approach and maintaining open communication, our project team was able to avoid these conflicts, while still completing the project two weeks ahead of schedule - even with additional work requested by the airfield manager!
This project received an Outstanding CCASS rating from the Owner.
